WHY ORGANIC FARMING IS THE SOLUTION TO GLOBAL WARMING.
SO WHAT'S 'GLOBAL WARMING'?
Most peopel tend to confuse(well,atleast those i have met) between global warming and climate change.To break it down,Global warming is basically a term used to describe the current increase in the Earth's average temperature.While Climate change refers not only to global changes in temperature but also to changes in wind, precipitation, the length of seasons as well as the strength and frequency of extreme weather events like droughts and floods.
Unless one has been living in a cave,am sure by now one should know or atleast heard about climate change and specifically global warming.We have all seen the measures that have been and being taken by especially the developed countries in trying to metigate the problem.One of the highly popularised efforts being The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 21 or CMP 11 which was held in Paris, France, from 30 November to 12 December 2015.
Personall having done my own personal and independent research,I have basically come to conclude that the so called 'global warming' is a hoax and thats after looking at the available facts and evidences.am concluding this especially by the claims made by Albert Arnold "Al" Gore Jr in which he claimed that the Arctic shelf would be gone by 2014, of which it failed and that the Antarctic is actually growing.he also claimed in 2008 that the entire Arctic Shelf would be gone by 2013 of which it hasn't gone,but it's actually growing by 30% in 2013.In 2008 he also claimed that the Arctic Ice would be totally gone by 2013, that by 2012, it had already grown by 50%.
Staying on track,the whole concept of global warming would be slowly but surely matigated by organic farming.This has been proved through an intense research that was done by the Rodale Institute (after conducting more than 30 years of ongoing field research) The research was entitled Regenerative Organic Agriculture and Climate Change.Of which 'regenerative organic agriculture' was developed.
What's regenerative organic agriculture?
The term ‘regenerative organic agriculture’ is believed to be first coined by Robert Rodale, son of American organic pioneer J.I. Rodale.Basically,Regenerative organic agriculture is comprised of organic practices including (at a minimum): cover crops, residue mulching, composting and crop rotation.
The concept behind regenerative organic agriculture and organic agriculture at large can be the solution to global warming.And this is because;

The concept behind regenerative organic agriculture and organic agriculture at large can be the solution to global warming.And this is because;
- By using practices such as, cover crops, crop rotation and conservation tillage, organic agriculture drastically increases soil biodiversity and health allowing it to store much higher levels of carbon. These practices can increase the amount of carbon stored in the soil.
- Regenerative organic agriculture uses practices that improve the health of soil, allowing it to store more carbon while reducing the amount of direct greenhouse gas emissions. It also refrains from the use of synthetic pesticides and inputs, which disrupt soil life, as well as nitrogen fertilizer, which is responsible for the majority of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions caused by human activity.
- Healthy soil naturally retains photosynthesized (CO2) instead of releasing it back into the atmosphere, where it contributes to the rising levels of greenhouse gases, which drive climate change.Fortunately, for a continious regenerative organic agriculture the health of soil can be mantained and can drastically increase the absorption of (CO2).
- Regenerative organic agriculture as an organic system does refrain from the use of synthetic pesticides and inputs, which disrupt soil life, and fossil-fuel dependent nitrogen fertilizer, which is responsible for the majority of anthropogenic (N2O) emissions which is one of the major gases for global warming.
- Organic farming, through it's recommended management practices they build soil organic matter, which has far reaching benefits for plant health and farm sustainability.These practices minimize biota disturbance and erosion losses while incorporating carbon rich amendments and retaining the biomass of roots and shoots, all of which contribute to carbon sequestration by photosynthetic removal and retention of atmospheric (CO2)in soil organic matter.
Approximately one-third of the carbon now in the atmosphere had formerly been sequestered in soils in the form of organic matter, but since we began plowing and deforesting, we’ve been releasing huge quantities of this carbon into the atmosphere.thus thats why i personally feel with increased awareness about organic farming.in longterm, the effects of global warming will be atleast reduced.
